What are cookies and how can I enable them?
Cookie are a small piece of text information transferred to browser by server. Cookies alone cannot transfer anything, but when a user refers to server (for example, types its address in the browser string), the server can read the information contained in cookies and make some actions based on this information. For example, in case of the authorized access to something in the Internet, cookies preserve your login and password during session, which allows the user not to enter them each time he requests a password-protected document. Without cookies enabled, you won't be able to enter the site under your login and password.
To enable cookies, make the following:
INTERNET EXPLORER 6 and above:
Choose "Internet Options" from "Tools" menu, open "Privacy" tab and press "Advanced" button. Check "Override automatic cookie handling" and check both "Accept".
FIREFOX 2.0 and above:
Choose "Options" from "Tools" menu. Go to "Privacy" section and check "Accept cookies from sites" in Cookies section. Press "Exceptions..." button and make sure the address of the site you need to accept cookies from is not blocked.
OPERA 8.00 and above:
Choose "Preferences" from the "Tools" menu and go to "Advanced" tab, then choose "Cookies" from the menu and check "Accept cookies".
SAFARI:
Choose "Preferences..." from Safari menu. Go to "Security" tab and choose "Always" in "Accept Cookies" section.
